I have been informed about the tragic death of your beloved son and my dear friend Andrew.

I would like to express my heart felt condolences and to tell you that my thoughts and thoughts of all those who knew Andrew here in Sarajevo are with you and your family in these sad times.

Andrew was a genuine friend, offering help, assistance and guidance to many people in Bosnia. He was admired for his intelligence and his courage, facing all challenges in Bosnia with great tenacity.

Andrew was the first international I have met here in Bosnia and I immediately realised what a wonderful person he was.

I am sure that it is hard for you and your family to find comfort in such a tragedy but I am sure that Andrew is in heaven, because that is where he belongs.
